Sydney based dj Edseven has built a rock-solid reputation over the last 20 years, sharing the stage djing with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Domu, John Morales, Nai Palm, Peanut Butter Wolf, Norman Jay, Dego, IG Culture and many more across Australia, Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Kyoto, Detroit, LA, Paris and Amsterdam.
A collector of many styles, a typical Edseven dj set could include anything from Detroit Hip Hop to Nigerian Funk, UK Broken beat to Chicago House, Classic Soul to Future Beat and beyond
Edseven’s production work also taps into his broad taste - releasing Future Soul, late-night House burners, Cosmic Afro Bruk, Hip Hop and Neo Soul. Collaborating with artists including Megatronic, Steve Spacek, Colonel Red, Oliver Night, Inkswel, Kid Sublime and releasing music on labels including Razor N Tape, CoOp, Turntables on the Hudson, City Fly, Motor City Wine and Inner Tribe.
Always eclectic, his selections join the dots between styles and eras with skill and respect – never losing focus on the dancers.

On April 5th, we salute a Portland-based record label that has garnered huge respect from the global dub music scene. Tracy Harrison (a.k.a. Polygon Press) and Ezra Ereckson (a.k.a. E3) have been running ZamZam sounds (7” singles) and its companion label Khaliphonic (occasional 12” singles and EPs) from their home in SE PDX since 2012. Tracy and Ezra realized an ideal concept with ZamZam : put out limited runs of music in 7” form only, delivered in hand-printed packaging that evoked heritage, mystery adn the numinous.
As the great artist and renaissance man Badawi noted, ZamZam Sounds ranged “from the rootical to the experimental, steppers to dubstep, 90s to the present. (Tracy and Ezra) have played across the UK and Europe repping the sounds & artists they love.”

Shaina Shepherd is a singer, songwriter, vocal teacher, and community organizer in Seattle, WA.
Known for her pervasive style as front-woman to soul-grunge band BEARAXE, her notable vocal stylings have brought her into various creative spaces — from collaborating with Duff McKagan, Chong The Nomad and Acid Tongue to sharing stages with rock stars like Dave Matthews and Thunderpussy to being a soloist with the classical ensembles around the country. Inspired by the parallels between gospel and garbage metal, Shaina Shepherd is not your average vocalist. Living in the city where both Soundgarden and Quincy Jones cut their teeth, Shaina lends her soulful voice to projects of all genres.

Silicon Radio and Passenger Seat Records Present: Elado
Silicon Radio and Passenger Seat Records are teaming up to present international DJ and producer Elad (@eladomusic) on Friday, February 7th.
He became popular among diggers in 2020 after his groundbreaking first release on the Razor-N-Tape label. His distinct fusion of obscure world sounds, disco, and electronics earned him support from Antal, PalmsTrax, Hunee, Gerd Jansen, Folamour, and many others.
He went on to release a string of vinyl records on top labels and produced several successful remixes, including the club hit “Tu-Tak Gulab Jamun” remix. Elado has just released his first records on his own imprint, “Big Baba Records”, and is waiting upcoming releases on Toy Tronics and Running Back Labels.

Long time house/disco jock is back to do his thing, just the way we like it…. soulful, deep, funky, & grimy! Currently residing in Los Angeles; he knows all-to-well what that city is going through right now; which is all the more reason to come show some love to one of our music’s true soldiers! Many of you may have seen him during the exceptional run of Crate Diggers events here in Portland, or might be familiar with his much respected label (Grimy! Edits), but this is a great opportunity for those not in the know yet.....because you need to be! Here’s a chance to check him out in a lovely intimate location, coupled with a proper sound system, & fantastic cocktails! Handsome Tiger (Vancouver, BC) | listen
Handsome Tiger, an Anishinaabe Métis and North African music producer/DJ hailing from Turtle Island and currently based in Vancouver, BC, blends traditional sounds from his heritage with other Indigenous and contemporary electronic bass music. A familiar face in the West Coast music community, Handsome Tiger has performed at numerous shows and amassed a collection of releases. With a passion for bass music, he actively supports and contributes to Vancouver's underground scene and has gained popularity in the North American festival circuit, appearing at events such as Bass Coast, Shambhala, Envision, Lightning in a Bottle, Mutek, Texas Eclipse, and more. His DJ sets fuse various flavors of sound system culture and global bass sounds, igniting dance floors wherever he performs.

Black to the Phuture: DJ sets by Brian Reeves, Cee White, M.T.M
In 1982 Brian began DJing and promoting parties in venues that never seemed big enough for the crowds gathered outside.
Highly regarded by fans and peers alike, Brian saw to move his parties to bigger venues across the city and add names that are synonymous with Chicago “House Music” to the roster. Throughout the 80’s & 90’s, Brian and names such as Lil Louis, Terry Hunter, DJ Rush and Frankie Knuckles (to name a few), headlined some of the most memorable parties of those decades.
In 1995 Brian started the B-Side Café and thus began a whole new scene for “House Music”. “The B-Side was the flip side of the A-Side of the record. Everyone was playing the A-Side, but the B-Side was the side people forgot about”, Brian explains. It became a movement and thanks to his ingenuity continues to flourish now.
Highly regarded by both DJ Magazine and fans of house, disco, funk, boogie and dance music, Brian saw fit to start his own “House Music” label. In 2005 Unified Records was born with such artists as Peven Everett, Mr. Ali, Glen Underground and Gene Hunt all releasing chart topping hits.
